Metal & Hair
Basin & Bench is a combined workshop/store for metalwork and a hair salon. I have long wanted to create a space where I could practice both of my professions in my own atmosphere — and now it has happened! Here you can buy and commission jewelry and other objects in metal. On other days, you can get your hair cut or colored (and enjoy a cup of coffee).
My interest in craftsmanship is innate. The career paths I’ve chosen have led me to what I consider the perfect combination: two crafts that complement each other both in materials and in the way they are practiced. Both are deeply personal, for me as well as for the recipient. Perhaps that is the strongest common denominator — and the reason I chose them.
On Fridays, the workshop/store is always open, as well as the last Saturday of every month and other Saturdays by appointment.
At other times, the salon is open by booking. If you happen to walk by and I don’t have a client, you are of course welcome to come into the shop at any time, regardless of the day. You’re also welcome to get in touch if there’s a specific day you’d like to visit — we’ll find a time that works.

Workshop & Store
I have a five-year education in gold and silversmithing. For just over four years, I was an apprentice at LOD Metallformgivning, where I later also became a member. During my training, I learned from some of the best, such as Heymann & Kuhlmann in Stockholm, Kim Buck in Copenhagen, and of course LOD.
In the shop, you’ll mostly find pieces in silver, brass, and copper. I’m also happy to make wedding rings and other jewelry in gold by commission. I enjoy working both large and small, broad and narrow. If you have your own idea or would like to commission something you’ve seen from me, don’t hesitate to get in touch and we’ll make it happen!

Hair Salon
In addition to my training in metalwork, I hold a journeyman’s certificate in hairdressing — a profession I’ve practiced for 25 years. I have many regular clients and find it to be an incredible way to meet people. I place great importance on being attentive and careful, really listening to who you are and what you’re looking for. These days, I focus on cutting and coloring/highlighting hair, as that’s what I enjoy most.
